Up to $150K for research equipment with net cost $7,001–$250,000 (NSERC funds max $150K of the $250K net). Annual October competition. Researcher must already hold an eligible NSERC grant — no cold applicants. Easier than Discovery to win if you have the gear case but can only hold one RTI in a 2-year window. Pairs naturally with a Discovery Grant that needs a piece of kit to execute.
